Everyone at Sierra Valley Almonds is fully integrated into our Food Quality & Safety Program. Our team is thoroughly trained through our Standard Sanitary Operating Procedure (SSOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Certifications:

Global Food Safety Certified (GFSI)

GFSI is a business-driven initiative for the development of food safety management systems. This program ensures that food facilities are processing safe food for consumers. It has created a benchmark process which was drafted with help from food safety experts all over the world.

Kosher Certified

Kosher certification confirms that our almonds meet the requirements and restrictions of kosher law.

Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) Certified

KBeing HACCP certified means Sierra Valley Almonds has a system in place in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production to distribution.

Certified Organic

Sierra Valley Almonds processes organic almonds with certified procedures to help maintain all the best parts about being organic. If required, the pasteurization method is an organic certified steam treatment process.

Traceability:

As almonds make their way through our facility, it passes through several metal detectors and optical sorters before being visually inspected for packaging. This process helps to meet and exceed Standard Food Safety Requirements.

At Sierra Valley Almonds, we use a barcode product ID system to assure traceability of your individual product. Our tracking system follows a growers product from the field to shipment.
